Mission Statement


Caravan World Rhythms, founded in 2000, is a non-profit charitable organizations whose mission is:
* To provide high-quality, engaging live cultural entertainment with artists from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds

* To increase the general public's understanding of the different traditions of music and dance.

* To provide the public with the experience of "spirit" that underlies the expression of tradition-based music and dance

* To provide talented local world musicians and dancers more opportunities for exposure and integration into the local art scene.

* To develop new ways for audiences to participate in cultural events, sharing in the experience of music making and movement.

"Y Enamorarse“ (Falling in Love) creates a diverse theatrical body of work through song, music and dance that expresses a rigorous, spell-binding aesthetic, one that exceeds the highest artistic expectations.
Created in 1997, the Domingo Ortega Flamenco Company has toured the globe, performing in Japan, Brazil,  United states, Greece, Germany amongst other places, and this spring touring Canada.

In addition to Mr. Ortega, the company includes dancers Immaculada Ortega,  Delara Tiv, and a top-notch music ensemble from Spain, including guitarists Fernando de la Rua and Jesus Alvarez, and singers Matias Lopez & Sonia Berbel.

Gamelan Gita Asmara’s annual concert this year brings an ambitious mix of classical, modern, rockin', and sweet music and dance, all highlighting the growing virtuosity of Vancouver’s own 25-piece gamelan devoted to the best traditional arts of Bali. This year they are joined by guest musician I Dewa Made Supartha, and guest dancers Keiko Ninomiya, and direct from Bali for the first time, 14-year old Ni Putu Suci Pramesti, led by dance director Ni Putu Widiantini.
